A red cord is laying on the floor

Scaled down version of our 16’ sampler (this one is 16” long).

Although it is a miniature version, the coupler and check valve assembly are to scale. Our samplers are made with Excelon TM Polycarbonate tubing, a superior material with many benefits, including:

UV resistance

Superior clarity

High tinsel strength over wide temperature range

High impact strength - even at low temperatures

So buy with confidence. Our samplers are functional and can withstand the abuse of daily use.

Our custom check valve sets our sampler apart from the others. Machined from nylon, the insert fits snugly into the bottom of the sampler, especially with the 2 rubber Orings that help make it leakproof. Also, the nylon is extremely durable and resistant to shock. The opening at the bottom is 3/4” diameter, which allows for a cleaner sample due to a more laminar flow through the check valve. When a sample flows into the valve, the plunger unseats completely, opening a relatively large area for sample to flow through. This is crucial if you are looking to get an accurate cross-section of your sample. When pulling the sample, the plunger creates a near leak proof seal between the rubber stopper & nylon valve.

The 6” coupler is simple in design. It is also comprised of Excelon TM polycarbonate, which allows for continued transparency where the samplers are joined. Because it is an interior slip fitting, there is nothing significant to get your hand hung up on when raising or lowering the sampler. Due to its length, it adds strength at a point of weakness where 2 sections are fastened together. 4 stainless steel machine screws hold it in place. A rubber O ring helps prevent leakage at the center of the coupler. Nothing fancy, just functional and field tested to work.
