Best in class sludge Sampler.
We started this business over 40 years ago because of the need for a better sludge sampler. Just like we did in 1982, we still hand make each one of the samplers we ship right here in the USA.

Tubing is 1 ¼” OD polycarbonate lexan. Lexan (which is a brand name) is a polycarbonate resin thermoplastic. It is part of a family of thermoplastics that includes bulletproof glass, headlamps and various other durable products. Some benefits include:
Increased flexibility
High impact resistance-even at low temperatures
Significant tinsel strength over a wide temperature range.
Lightweight
Resistance to acid & other chemicals such as gasoline.
Good clarity and UV resistance.
The lexan tubing we use is designed & manufactured in the USA.

Our check valve assembly sets our sampler above the competition. Machine cut from nylon, the valve insert fits perfectly into the bottom of the sampler. 2 rubber O-rings on the outer edge of the insert provide an extra snug fit. The plunger is made of industrial grade parts. The rubber stopper fits seamlessly in the nylon insert to provide a leakproof seal.
The durability of the nylon provides shock resistance at the bottom of the unit when releasing your sample. It acts as an insulator for the lexan when pushed on a solid surface to unseat the plunger and release the sample.
The ¾” opening for the valve allows for a cleaner sample due to a more laminar flow upwards into the sampler. This is especially important if you are looking for an accurate, layered cross section of your sampling area.
It’s simple and it works great!

The 6” coupler is simple in design. It is also comprised of Excelon TM polycarbonate, which allows for continued transparency where the samplers are joined. Because it is an interior slip fitting, there is nothing significant to get your hand hung up on when raising or lowering the sampler.
Due to its length, it adds strength at a point of weakness where two sections are fastened together. Four stainless steel machine screws hold it in place.
A rubber O-ring helps prevent leakage at the center of the coupler.
Nothing fancy, just functional and field tested to work.
